Obituary

Myrtle M. Rainwater

RALLS (Special)— Services for Mrs. Myrtle M. Rainwater, 77, of Ralls, will be at 3 p.m. today in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home here.

Officiating will be the Rev. John Jenkins, pastor of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church, and the Rev. Ed Scarbrough, pastor of the First Baptist Church in New Deal.

Mrs. Rainwater died about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in Lubbock's University Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She had been a Crosby County resident since 1920, moving from Chico. Mrs. Rainwater was a native of Throckmorton.

Survivors include her husband, A.J.; three sons, Willard and Alfred, both of Lorenzo, and Wayne of Doughterty; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Cain of 402 51st St. in Lubbock; two sisters, __________ of Petersburg and Mrs. Estelle Jones of Jonestown; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Andrew J. Rainwater

RALLS (Special) — Services for Andrew J. Rainwater, 83, will be at 2 p.m. today in Lorenzo's First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Lacy, pastor, and the Rev. Ed Scarbrough officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Rainwater died at 2 a.m. Wednesday in Lubbock's University Hospital after a brief illness.

He was a Troy native who had been a school bus driver in the Ralls system for 23 years. Rainwater moved to Crosby County from Chico in 1920.

Survivors include three sons, Willard and Alfred, both of Lorenzo, and Wayne of Dougherty; a daughter, Louise Cain of Lubbock; two brothers, D.C. of Idalou and N.J. of Graham; two sisters, Beulah Wood of Idalou and Mrs. Bryon Young of Anson; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
