LORENZO (Special) - Services for Mae Mayes, 86, of Lorenzo will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Carter-Adams Funeral Home in Ralls with Curtis Davis, brother-in-law of the deceased, officiating.Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery in Lorenzo.
Mrs. Mayes died at 9:45 a.m. Monday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Texas and had lived in Crosby County for most of her life. She married William Elbert Mayes on April 25, 1935, in Lubbock. He died on Nov. 30, 1968. She had operated a restaurant in Crosbyton. She was a member of Lorenzo's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Jewell Ellison of Panhandle and Dovie David of Wolfforth.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
