Services for Cathy Sue Hood, 46, of Oklahoma City, OK, and formerly of Lorenzo will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 5, 1997, in the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with Rev. Namiqa Shipman, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 1997, in the First Lutheran Church at 1300 N. Robinson St. in Oklahoma City with Rev. Gerald Peterson, officiating.

She died at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997 in the St. Anthony´s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK, following an illness.

She was born June 16, 1951, in Lubbock and moved to Oklahoma City, OK in 1972 from the Lorenzo area. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City. She was a graduate of Lorenzo High School and a 1972 graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, MO, as a music major. She held the office of Assistant to the 1972 Class President at Stephens College, and was a Principal member of the Alumni Club.

She received her Masters of Jurisprudence from Oklahoma City University Law School. She was an attorney for the Department of transportation for the State of Oklahoma. She was nationally recognized as an expert in property law and was a Presentor to the American Bar Association Annual Conventions. She was very active in her church and in community affairs and was active with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Sue Campbell who died March 1, 1979.

Survivors include her parents, William M. "Bill" and Ruth Hood of Lubbock; two brothers, Mark Hood of Lubbock, and Mike Hood of Shallowater; a step brother, Billy Jones of Giddings, TX; a step sister, Linda Valerius of Lubbock; and a niece, Emily Hood of Lubbock.
