Services for Lottie Louise Dorsey Herrington, 85, of Lubbock and formerly Lorenzo were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 13, 2004 at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Brown and the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

She died Tuesday, August 10, 2004 in Lubbock.

She was born May 21, 1919 in Fannin County, Texas to Jess and Alta Melton Davenport.

She married Finley Herrington on December 22, 1948 in Southland, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1970.

She moved to Lorenzo on September 20, 1948. She had been a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church since 1949. She was a member of the Audubon Society, South Plains Iris Society, American Iris Society, and was a Master Judge of irises. She was also a member of the Lubbock Genealogy Group.

She is preceded in death by a brother Dale Davenport and two sisters Bobbie Nell Walters and Jessie Mae McDonald.

Survivors include; a son, Rick Dorsey and his wife Mary of Lubbock, two daughters; Ramona Howard and her husband Charles of Lubbock and Ronda M. Pullen of Dallas, two sisters; Lila Lev of Lakewood, CA, Sharon Proctor of Alta Loma, CA, nine grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
