LORENZO (Special) — Services for Grice Herrington, 73, of Lorenzo, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Idalou First Baptist Church with the Rev.Larry Heard, pastor, and the Rev. Joe Motsenbocker of Paradise officiating.

Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Herrington died at 6:19 a.m. Sunday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a brief illness.

He was a native of Desdemona and was a retired farmer. He married Delma Blanton Bullock July 11, 1974, in Lorenzo. He was a member and former master of the Lorenzo Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was former president of the Lorenzo Grain Coop and the Lorenzo Coop Gin. He moved to Crosby County in 1918.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Coy Herrington of Fort Worth, Marvin Herrington, address unknown, and Tommy Herrington of Lorenzo; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Barbara Sikes of Idalou; a stepson, David Bullock of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. W. A. (Eva) White of Seminole and Mrs. Ben (Ethel) Cady of Caliente, Calif.; three brothers, J.T. of Lorenzo, Allen of Portersville, Calif., and Buster of Collinsville, Okla.; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
