Alcadio “Mingo” Hernandez 80 of Crosbyton passed away Tuesday October 29, 2013 in Lubbock. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the La Casa Del Alfarero Church in Lorenzo. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the same church.
Alcadio was born January 15, 1933 in Nixon Texas to Fred and Sabina Hernandez. He was a farmer, loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his Texas Longhorns and was a big fan.
Alcadio is survived by his wife Mary, eight children; Micheal, Hope, Ricky, Ralph, Lori, Joe, Ramona, and Linda. He also leaves behind four stepchildren; Melody Barron of Lubbock, Virginia Gonzales of Idalou, Winiberto Barron Jr. of Great Bend Kansas and Stanley Barron of Crosbyton. Alcadio had three sisters; Sabina Mendoza of Ralls, Dominga Ureste of Winters and Chencha Villareal of Midland. He had ten grandchildren and three step grandchildren; Michael J. Olivas, Talayah Lopez-Meza, and Mark E. Soto.
