Mass services were held for Florencio G. Calzada, 31, of Lorenzo at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 1986 at San Lorenzo Catholic Church with Father McQuire, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the directions of Carter-Adams.

Calzada´s body was found at 4:30 a.m. Monday, December 8, 1986 at FM Road 285 at the new IH27 by-pass, three miles northeast of Happy in Randall County. He had been shot.

He was born April 28, 1955 in Mexico.

He moved to Lorenzo six months ago from Slaton. He had worked for the last 7 years for Santa Fe railroad in Lubbock.

Survivors include his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Calzada of Lorenzo; two daughters, Velma of Lorenzo and Monica of Lubbock; three brothers, Pedro of Vaughn, New Mexico, Jesus and Fernando both of Lorenzo; one sister, Rosa Marie Nix of Lorenzo.
