Services for R. T. "Jack" Bowman, 88, of Lorenzo will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2003 in the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Boles, Rev. Jerry Williams, and Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Mr. Bowman died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 in Lubbock´s Covenant Hospital. He was born April 7, 1914 in Plainview, Texas. He married Fern Fralin Sept, 1, 1934 in Crosbyton. She preceded in death Nov. 5, 1960. Then he married Johnnie Vaught Alverson July 7, 1961 in Lorenzo. He was a member of the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He served as Lorenzo´s City Manager at one time. He was a real estate agent for several years. He lived in the Lorenzo area all his life.
Survivors include his wife Johnnie Bowman of Lorenzo, 1 son, Don Bowman of Branson, MO, a daughter and her husband Judy and Don Miller of Lubbock, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family suggest memorials to the Lorenzo EMS.
