Services for Marie Beadle, 89, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2009 at the South Park Baptist Church in Lubbock with Rev. Doug Kello and Bob Batson officiating. Burial will be in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Marie passed away on October 16, 2009 in Lubbock. She was born January 19, 1920 in Waxahachie to the Late A. M. and Eunice Idella (Waddell) Karr. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Class.
Marie was also a member of the 3 R's and the American Business Club. She worked for Southwestern Public Service for 30 years retiring in 1985. She loved to bowl and traveled extensively after retirement. She traveled to all 50 states and Canada. Marie was very involved with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Jimmie Caroll Bilberry in 1938, Larry Beadle who died on March 15, 2009; and two brothers, Clifford Karr and John Karr.
Survivors include a daughter, Thelma Perry and her husband Mark of Lubbock; two sisters, Dorothy Barclay of Midland, Veona Williamson of Spur; four grandchildren, Jamie Thomas, Brad Marlar, Mike Beadle and Dani Eshee; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be, Mike Beadle, Brad Marlar, Chan Thomas, Travis Marlar and Cody Marlar.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Porch Swing for their devotion and love shown to Mother in her last months.
Memorials can be made to South Park Baptist Church.
