Graveside services for Richard Linn Kelsey, 89, of Lorenzo were at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the Estacado Cemetery with Rev. Wes Collins officiating. Burial was under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Mr. Kelsey passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008 in Lubbock.
He was born November 28, 1919 in Lorenzo to the late Elmer and Ella Eva (Linn) Kelsey.
He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Crosby County. He served in the Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945.
Richard was preceded in death by two sons, Robbie Kelsey and Donnie Kelsey; two brothers, Harry Kelsey and Cecil Kelsey; and a sister, Lorraine Blalock.
Survivors include a son, Rick Kelsey and wife Kay of McKinney; a daughter, Sue Stanley and husband Bob of Lubbock; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
