Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Graveside services for Preston Weaks, 85, of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Weaks died Friday, March 4, 1994, from burns suffered in a fire at his Crosby County farm.

He was born on Nov. 2, 1908, in Glen Rose. He married Esta Lena Stevenson on July 4, 1928, in Texas. He was a former Scout master and former director of the Crosbyton Rodeo Association. He was former president of the McAdoo Methodist Men´s Club, and he was a rancher and farmer.

Survivors include his wife and a brother, Doris Weaks of Crosbyton.
