William Andrew Walker was the son of James Franklin Walker and Artismissa Jane Pate. His father, J F Walker was the son of William W Walker who came here from Ireland and Elizabeth Templeton of Louisiana.
His mother, Artie Pate Walker Hager was the daughter of Gilbert G Pate and Catherine Elizabeth Stewart.
Andy's siblings were:Andy and Kate had no children.
- Della Walker Fowler d. 10-9-1900 after being burned in an accident (she is resting in the Sycamore cemetery in Wise county),
- Leona Bell Walker Richardson (Mrs. Jesse Josiah Richardson)
- Carl Newell Walker (wife, Laura Thomas Wilson). Carl and Laura had 14 children and that included one set of twin boys. They are supposed to be in the cemetery in Littlefield, Lamb county. Not listed on Find a Grave in the area, family member went to services and knows they were buried there.
CROSBYTON (Special) Funeral services for William Andy Walker, 79, Crosby County resident since 1915, will be held at 3 p.m. today at Pansy Baptist Church. The Rev. Victor Crabtree will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Archie Hawkins and the Rev. Don Hancock. Burial in Crosbyton Cemetery will be directed by King Funeral Home.
Walker, a retired farmer, died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday in Crosbyton Hospital following an extended illness.
Survivors are his wife, Kate, and a sister, Mrs. J. J. Richardson of Plainview.

A resident of the Crosbyton community since 1915, Mrs. Kate Shaw Walker was buried Friday in Crosbyton Cemetery . Funeral rites were conducted at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Adams Funeral Home. Nephews were pallbearers.
Mrs. Walker, one of the area´s older residents at age 90, died about 9:45 a.m. last Wednesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She suffered a lengthy illness.
A Slidell native, the former Kate Shaw was married to Liam A.[sic William] (Andy) Walker in Slidell in 1908. Walker preceded his wife in death in 1967.
Mrs. Walker resided in the Pansy Community for a number of years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Jeff Doyle of Clovis, NM, and Mrs. Betty Thomas of Krum; 24 nephews and nieces.
