A 19 year old Lubbock man, Lawrence M. Simmons III, was buried Saturday in Crosbyton Cemetery following 10 a.m. memorial services in the First Baptist Church in Idalou.
Simmons, a 1976 graduate of Coronado High School in Lubbock, was killed shortly before 1 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time) Thursday when the pickup truck he was driving overturned three times in Hudspeth County in far West Texas.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Joyce LaVerne Lemon of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Linda Tremmel and Miss Barbara Simmons, both of Lubbock; a brother, Ray Lemon of Lubbock; and his grandparents, L.M. Simmons Sr. of Lubbock and Mrs. Elzie Moore of Ralls.
