Obituary

Services for Jessie Simmons, 86, of Lubbock and formerly of Crosbyton were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 1990 in Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Border, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died about 4 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 1990 in Lutheran Home of West Texas after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Oklahoma. She married Lawrence Simmons on April 15, 1942, in Sweetwater. He died in 1989. She was a retired teacher and moved from Crosbyton to Lubbock in 1953. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Jack Davis of Lubbock; a stepson, Bill Simmons of Shallowater; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
