Services for Kathryn Shipman, 85, of Lubbock will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Luke´s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnnie Williams, a retired Methodist minister from Lubbock, officiating.
The Rev. Elton Wyatt, assistant pastor of St.Luke´s United Methodist Church, will assist, and burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shipman died at 9:20 p.m. Saturday in Bender Terrace Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born in Picture Rock, Pa. She moved to West Texas as a child and attended school in Big Four and in Crosbyton.
She married W.R. Shipman on Sept. 3, 1923, in Ralls. He died in 1975. They lived in Tulia from 1959 until 1964, and moved to Lubbock in 1974. She was a member of St. Luke´s United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bill D. Shipman and H.E. "Eddie" Shipman, both of Lubbock; two daughters, Doris West of Lubbock and Carolyn Thompson of Dimmitt; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
