Obituary
Funeral services for Fred Satchel Sr., 73, of Crosbyton, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 1990 at Galilee Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammy Holloway officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 1990 at Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Cardwell February 26, 1917. He moved from Plainview to Crosbyton in 1968. He was a farmer.
Survivors include three sons, Fred Satchel Jr. of Houston, James Satchel of Lubbock and Arthur Satchel of Crosbyton; five daughters, Freddie Mae Williams of Halfway, Cora Dean White and Jessie Mae Satchel, both of Houston, Lillie Mae Webster of Hearne and Mary Sue Satchel of Lubbock; a sister, Gussie Satchel of Bryan; a brother, James Arthur Satchel of Hearne; 23 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
