CROSBYTON Rosary for Genaro "Shorty" Sandoval, 74, of Crosbyton will be at 7 p.m. today at San Jose Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the same church with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002.
He was born Sept. 19, 1928, in Burnet County. He married Anita Rodriguez in September 1943. He was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton, where he was in the Men´s Organization. He worked as a ginner in Dimmitt and at West Texas Gin and Mount Blanco Gin, both of Crosbyton. He also worked at Crosby County Pump Co. He moved to Crosbyton in 1960 from Dimmitt.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Genaro Jr. of Crosbyton; five daughters, Rosa Granado, Mickey Marquez, Alma Moreno, Clara Carrosco and Angie Hernandez, all of Crosbyton; nine brothers, Reyes and Emidigio, both of Dimmitt, Jose Luis, Pablo, Jose and Feligonio, all of Donna, and Romolo, Mike and Antonio, all of Pasadena; five sisters, Guadalupe Mendoza, Martina Rada, Gloria Yanez and Maria Montemayor, all of Donna, and Nellie Carillo of Charlesburg, Pa.; 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary for Anita Rodriguez Sandoval, 79, of Crosbyton will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2007 in the same church with Deacon Nasario "Charlie" Rubalcado officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Sandoval passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Crosbyton Hospital. She was born May 6, 1928 in Smithville, Texas to the late Daniel and Teresa (Hernandez) Rodriguez. She moved to the Crosbyton area in 1954 from Seguin. She was a homemaker, and a member of the San Jose Catholic Church and Guadalupanas.She is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Bill Rodriguez and Santiago Rodriguez.
Survivors include a son, Genaro Sandoval, Jr. and wife Rosa of Crosbyton, five daughters, Rosa Granado, Mickey Marquez and husband David, Alma Moreno and husband Frank, Clara Carrosco and husband Salvador and Angie Hernandez and husband Ray, all of Crosbyton. Also surviving are one brother, Domingo Rodriguez of California, nine sisters, Guadalupe Rivera of Sherman, Sara Vigil of San Antonio, Josie Minor and Francisca Salas, both of Graham, Brigida Canales of Idalou, Maria Luisa Flores of Dallas, Ramona Salas, Concepcion Flores and Theresa Zandt, all of Crosbyton, 25 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 12 great, great grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Joe Ovalle, Jr., J. D. Ovalle, Neal Martinez, Roy Moreno, John Lee Sandoval and Michael Sanchez.
