Obituary

R.A. Paschall Sr., a Crosby County resident since 1915, was claimed by death at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a prolonged illness. Mr. Paschall was 89.

He came to this community in 1915 and resided here until moving to Lorenzo in 1938. He had resided the past year in Crosbyton Care Center.

Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church in Lorenzo. The Rev. James Futch, pastor, and the Rev. Johnnie Williams, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton, officiated.

Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home directed arrangements.

A past master of Crosbyton Lodge No. 1020 AF&AM, Paschall received his 50 year Masonic pin last year. He was a member of Crosbyton and Lorenzo lodges and was a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason.

He also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lorenzo.

R.A. Paschall Sr. and the former Ira Nash were married Feb. 28, 1909 in Wise County. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Paschall was born Dec. 22, 1884 in Parker County. The family home is on Star Route in Lorenzo.

Survivors include his wife, Ira; one son, R.A. Paschall Jr. of Lorenzo; two daughters, Mrs. Jewel McElroy of Crosbyton and Mrs. D.G. Porterfield of Abilene; three brothers, E.R. Paschall of Bridgeport, C.O. Paschall of Roswell, NM, and A.L. Paschall of Paradise; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Coleman of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Exia Boase of Bridgeport and Mrs. Ruth Pewitt of Denton; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
