George was born November 3, 1872. He was a Medical Practitioner and served as the City Physician and Health Officer in Crosbyton, Texas from 1929 until his death June 29, 1940. He attended the public schools of Hunt County and Hawthorne College, following which he entered Memphis Hospital Medical College where he took his M.D. Degree in 1904. This is now the Medical Department of the University of Tennessee.
He married Lillie Mae Siegler on December 23, 1900, who was the daughter of the J. P. Sieglers of Farmersville, Texas. The Sieglers were also connected into the Price family. She was born June 14, 1883. They spent 20 years at Merit, Texas where he practiced medicine. He then practiced two years in Greenville, two years at Matador and one year at Hamlin, prior to coming to Crosbyton in 1929. He invested in farm land in Crosby, Fisher, Collin, Hunt, Bell and Hood Counties.
They had one daughter Lillie Joe who died as an infant from the result of pneumonia. She was born April 22, 1918, and died 4 days later April 26, 1918 at Merit, Texas. The Parkhills were accompanied to Motley County by a foster son, R. E. "Emmett" Donovan, who preceded her in death in April 1953. George died of a self-inflicted injury when he found out that he had cancer. His wife, Lillie died January 3, 1962 of a heart attack at her home in Crosbyton, Texas.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie May Parkhill, 80, were held at 4 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Otis Testerman, pastor, officiated and Dr. J. I. Bishop, Plainview, assisted.Mrs. Parkhill died at about 10 a.m., January 3. She had entered her garage, preparing to leave in her car, when stricken with a fatal heart attack.
A native of Collin county, Mrs. Parkhill first came here in 1928. She was the wife of the late Dr. George B. Parkhill.
Survivors include a brother, Alfred Seigler, Shreveport, La., and a sister, Mrs. Joe Shinn, Farmersville.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
