CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Griffin Odom, 77, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. today at the Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Michael Rodgers, pastor, ad Elder George Johnson, pastor of Lubbock Primitive Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be at Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Odom died at 2:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 1993, in the Barnes St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, Mo.

He was born Nov. 11, 1915, in Sterling City and had lived in Bowie before moving to the Crosbyton area in 1930. He married Willie Ruth Dunn on March 28, 1937, in Crosbyton. He was a member of Crosbyton´s Primitive Baptist Church. He was a 1934 graduate of Crosbyton High School and also had attended Smith Ward School. He worked 57 years as a barber and had owned Model Clothier and Cleaners in Crosbyton and Lubbock. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Andrea Miller of St. Peters, Mo.; a sister, Fay Ainsworth of Lubbock; two stepsisters, Emma Ruth Mize of Crosbyton and Bernice Moses of Ralls; and two grandchildren.

Willie OdomServices for Willie Ruth Odom, 92, of St. Peters, Missouri and formerly Crosbyton, Texas will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Willie passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Peters Manor Care Center in St. Peters, Missouri. She was born August 1, 1916 in Floyd County to the late Elder T. A. and Eunice Melinda (Danielly) Dunn. On March 28, 1937 she married Jessie Griffin Odom in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1993.Willie was a member of the Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church which her father started. She and her husband owned and operated Model Clothier and Cleaners for several years.

She is preceded in death by two brothers; John Allen and Thomas Aubrey Dunn and three sisters; Elva Norene Collier, Minnie Lee Roberts and Lillie Mae Reeves.Survivors include a daughter and her husband; Andrea and David Miller of St. Peters, Missouri, a sister; Genia Roberson of Muldoon, Texas, and two grandchildren; Allison Miller of O'Fallon, MO and Christopher Miller of St. Peters, MO.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 Noon Sunday at Adams Funeral Home.
