Services Held for Mrs. May Here Tuesday

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church here for Mrs. Dovie Matilda May, 74, who died Sunday in the Crosbyton hospital after a lengthy illness.

The Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Mrs. May moved to Crosbyton from Idalou in 1940. She had lived in Idalou for 20 years. She worked as a licensed Vocational Nurse for several years in Crosbyton.

She was a member of Crosbyton Chapter 891 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by three sons, A.B. of Crosbyton, G.P. of San Angelo and Ernest of Hood River, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Ida Lane of Killeen; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers were Donnell Gowens, Don Spurgin, Bill Adams, Gene Green, Frank Ellison and Don Ballard.
