Rosary for Felice Martinez Leyva, 75, of Crosbyton was held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Mass was celebrated at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the same church with Rev. Jesse Cruz officiating. Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Leyva passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 at her home in Crosbyton. She was born November 20, 1930 in Yancy, Texas to the late Tiburcio and Maria (Pena) Martinez. She was married to Luis Leyva, II November 29, 1249 in Spur. He preceded her in death April 12, 1988. She was a homemaker, a member of the San Jose Catholic Church, the Guadalupanas and Cursillistas. She moved to Crosbyton in 1964 from Idalou. She is preceded in death by a son, Luis Leyva, III and a sister Maria Martinez.

Survivors include 2 sons; Ruben Leyva of Lubbock and David Leyva of Crosbyton, 3 daughters; Mary Silva of Crosbyton, Olga Smith of Spur and Yolanda Leyva of Stamford, 2 sisters; Dominga Gonzales of North Carolina and Lena Garcia of San Antonio, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Serving as casket bearers will be Jeremy Silva, Felix Barrera, Luis Leyva, Domingo Gonzales, Ruben Leyva and David Leyva.
