James Kinley, 75, Claimed Tues., Rites Held Here

Funeral services for James W. Kinley, 75, were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne Grizzle and Rev. Otis Testerman, pastor, officiated.

Kinley, known over town by the nickname "Kalgary" died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday following a short illness. A native of Denton county, he had resided here since 1935.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen; three sons, Ancil and Walter, Quitaque, and Alvin, Crosbyton; six daughters, Mrs. R. H. Brown, Roanoke, Mrs. Alin Fuller, Arlington, Mrs. R. L. Hunter, California, Mrs. P. E. Smith, Mrs. Royce Smith, Mrs. Austin Steen, all of Crosbyton.

Also two step children, Mrs. Effie Amburn, Beeville, Ill., and Mrs. Arthur Mills, El Paso; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Bobbett, Hillsboro and Mrs. Dora Elsia, Vasthi; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers were Doyle Hinson, Jack Marsh, Jimmy Edwards, Albert Buck, Clevie Maze and Arthur Brakebill.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
