Mark HodgesMemorial services for Mark Wayne Hodges, 40, of Blue Mound, formerly of Crosbyton, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Grace Baptist Church, 8820 Las Vegas Trail in White Settlement, Texas.

Graveside services were at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2007 in Crosbyton Cemetery with Rev. Les Griffin officiating. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church. Arrangements were under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mark passed away Friday, January 26, 2007 at his Blue Mound home. He was born Sept. 17, 1966 in Crosbyton to Arnold and Dorothy (Grizzle) Hodges.

He was a 1985 graduate of Crosbyton High School and a 1991 graduate of Tarleton State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrology and his Master's degree in Biology. He was one of 30 charter members who organized Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity where he was a member of the Zeta Beta Chapter. He was a member of the Baptist Student Union and the Plowboy's Booster Club while at Tarleton.

Mark had lived in the Fort Worth area for several years and was a teacher at Boswell High School and Eagle Mountain School District. He was also a security officer for the White Settlement School System Police Department an a member of the Archery Club in Fort Worth.

Survivors include his parents, Arnold and Dorothy Hodges of Crosbyton; a sister and her husband, Carolyn and Gene Chappell of Crosbyton; two brothers and their wives, Max and Sandy Hodges of Freeport, Illinois and Mike and Ilene Hodges of Cedar Park, and a special friend, Daneen Hall and her children, Michael and Derek Voigt and Joshua, Jeremy and Rodney Hall and Robert Lee Rhodes.

Serving as casket bearers were Max Hodges, Mike Hodges, Ryan Hodges, Dustin Chappell, Corey Hodges, Michael Hodges, John Hodges and Mark Appling. Serving as honorary bearers were the CHS class of 1985, Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity and the White Settlement Police Department.
