CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Charlotte T. Hester, 86, of Santa Fe, NM, are pending with Adams Funeral Home.She died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday at Horizon Health Care Nursing Home in Santa Fe after a lengthy illness.
The Lockney native lived in Crosbyton as a teen-ager. At age 18, she taught school in Glorieta, NM. In 1923 she moved to Santa Fe, where she opened New Methods dry cleaning, a business she operated for 40 years.
She married Clay Hester in 1944 in Los Angeles, Calif. He died in 1970. Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Ragle, and two sisters, Irene Collier and Minnie Canon.
She was a charter member of the Pilots International Club and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two brothers, Paul Ragle of Santa Fe and Raymond Ragle of Plainview; and a sister, Bertha Smith of Mountainair, NM.
