CROSBYTON (Special) - Lonnie Dean Hefner, 41, died at 4 p.m. Friday in an Austin hospital after being found unconscious in his Austin apartment.
Services are pending at King Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
He was a native of Crosbyton and graduated from high school here. He received a bachelor´s degree from Texas Tech University and his master´s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
In 1956 he moved to Washington, D.C., where he was associated with the Small Business Administration until about a month ago.
He then moved back to Austin, where he had enrolled at UT and was planning to go into the construction business.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Hefner of Crosbyton; two brothers, Neal of 4610 11th St., Lubbock, and Joe M. of 3103 42nd St., Lubbock; and a grandmother, Addie Hefner of Amarillo.
