Obituary

Funeral rites for Milton Hefley of Hereford, longtime Crosbyton resident, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Crosbyton. Hefley died about 12:45 p.m. Sunday in a Hereford hospital after suffering a heart attack about a week ago.

The Rev. J.L. Bozeman, pastor of Hereford Temple Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

A native of Silverton, Hefley moved to Crosbyton in 1913 and operated a plumbing business here until moving to Hereford six years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Opal; a daughter, Mrs. Billy Wayne Jones of Crosbyton; a son, Bob of Odessa; two brothers, Roy of Hereford and Elbert of San Bruno, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
