J. E. Heathington, 25, Buried Here Last Sunday

Funeral services for J. E. Heathington, 25, where held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Ralls High school auditorium, with Rex Kimbrough, minister of the Ralls Church of Christ, officating, assisted by Rev. James Abernethy, pastor of the Ralls First Baptist church. Burial was in the Crosbyton cemetery.

The young Ralls man was killed Thursday night when his car overturned west of Roswell, N. Mex. Investigating officers said Heathington's car overturned 13 times when it went off the pavement at a curve on the U.S. Highway 70 about 11:15 p.m. He was riding alone.

Heatington, a veteran with 17 months service with the Navy during World War II, lived in Crosby county all his life.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Heathington, of Ralls.

Pallbearers were E. E. Dyess, Jean D. Smith, Curtis Hendrick, T. S. Parks, Jr., Keith Harvey Littlefield, and Bill Mayes, all of Ralls.
