Rosary for Paul Guzman Sr., 67, of Crosbyton were held at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 1989 in San Jose Catholic church with the Rev. Tom Parampil, pastor, officiating.
Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the same church with the same officiant.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday morning, August 2, 1989 in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after an illness.
He was born in San Augustine and moved to Crosby County in 1955 from San Antonio. He married Stella Perez Jan. 31, 1948, in San Antonio. He was a retired farmer and a catholic.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Luis, Victor, and John, all of Crosbyton, Paul Jr. of Kileen and Longinio of Caprock; two brothers, Luis of Crosbyton and Vidal of San Antonio; three sisters, Adelina Martinez of Crosbyton, Filomena Ramirez of Ralls and Janie Vallego of Michigan; and 17 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jesse Guzman, Jimmy Guzman, Henry Guzman, Victor Guzman Jr., and John Lucas Guzman and Joseph Guzman.

Stella Guzman, 84, of Crosbyton passed away Thursday, November, 2012 in Crosbyton. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Samuel Oracion officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery the personal care of Adams Funeral Home- Crosbyton.
Stella was born August 27, 1928 in Nixon Texas to the late Victor and Hermenia (Pena) Perez. She married Paul Guzman, Sr. January 31, 1948 in San Antonio; he precedes her in death on August 2, 1989.They moved to Crosby County in 1955 from San Antonio.
Stella was a stay at home mom who loved going to church and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son John Guzman.
She is survived by her sons, Luis Guzman, Victor Guzman, Paul Guzman all of Crosbyton, Lonnie Guzman of Ralls, four sisters, Lenor Guerro, Celia Castro, Chris (Cricelda) Huizar, Concuelo Martinez, 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Vic Guzman , Bruce Guzman, Sebastion Guzman, Steve Guzman, Johnny Guzman, Luis Guzman, Joey Guzman, Rusty Guzman.Obituary courtesy of: Adams Funeral Home
