Rosary for Jorge Gutierrez, Sr., 51 of Crosbyton will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, January 23, 2009 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the same church with Rev. Ernesto Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Jorge passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born April 15, 1957 in Weslaco, Texas to Jesus and Josepha Moreno Gutierrez.
Jorge lived in Crosbyton most of his life and worked at gins.
Survivors include; four sons; Jorge Gutierrez, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Gutierrez of Crosbyton, Guadalupe Salinas of Houston, Jose Salinas of Ralls, three daughters; Josie Gutierrez of Lubbock, Rita Gutierrez and Rosemary Salinas both of Crosbyton, two brothers; Frank Gutierrez and Juan Gutierrez both of Crosbyton, two sisters; Blanca Gutierrez and Alma Gutierrez both of Crosbyton and 16 grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Ovalle, Christina Salinas, Alejandro Hernandez, Michael Gutierrez, Joe Cantu and Reymundo Salinas.
