Jose S. Gutierrez, 78, of Crosbyton passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
He was born on November 2, 1936 to Luciano and Adela Gutierrez in Donna, Texas. Jose married the love of his life Juanita Moreno Carranza on April 21, 1963 in Donna. He was a hardworking, honest man who enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Jose never met a stranger, loved people, and was loved by everyone.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law Pauline Moreno; daughter Catie Gutierrez; two brothers Juan and Jesus Gutierrez; and grandson Joe Eric Gutierrez.
Jose is survived by his wife; Juanita Gutierrez of Crosbyton; two daughters; Linda Morales and husband Albert of Crosbyton; Norma Garcia and husband Tony of Crosbyton; two sons; Jose Gutierrez Jr. and wife Irene of Crosbyton; Eddie Gutierrez and wife Vivian of Lubbock; four brothers; Luciano Gutierrez of Houston; Carlos Gutierrez of Ohio; Felipe Gutierrez of Donna; Alberto Gutierrez of Donna; six sisters; Francisca, Juana, Lela, Mary-Elena, Dolores, and Yolanda all of Donna, TX; fifteen grandchildren; Ida, Roel, Ismael, Kristal, Veronica, Elizabeth, Megan, Beth, Tony Angel, Eddica, Andee, Dylan, Connie, Ernest, Erica, and eight great grandchildren; Tyler, Roel Jr., Kambree, Tristan, Alexis, Leon Jr., Jordan, and Adriano. Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton.
Burial will follow at the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 16th and Friday July 17th at San Jose Catholic Church.
