Robert F. (Bob) Greene, a Crosby County resident for almost half a century, was claimed by death at 12:10 p.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a prolonged illness. Mr. Greene was 78.
He and Mrs. green resided at 225 North Farmer in Crosbyton.
Memorial services for Mr. Greene were at 3 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Al Jennings, pastor, officiated.
Serving as active pallbearers were Bill Odom, Loyd Martin, Dee Cash, Doyle Redding, Palmer Hutchings and Don Handley. Honorary pallbearers included Charlie Wheeler, Noble Hunsucker, Jim Talbott, Orvil lamb, Brooks Ellison, Floyd Hill, Bill Cooper, Fletcher Stark, LeRoy Voight and Bobby Hawley.
Born April 25, 1907, in Bonham, Bob Greene moved to Crosby County in 1937. He and the former Lorene Mason were married Sept. 14, 1956, in Durant, Okla.
A farmer, Mr. Greene was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife and one sister, Leona Ivey of Leonard.
