Chapel of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton was the site for 3 p.m. Friday funeral rites for Lorene Jo Knowles George of Wewoka, Okla. Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, officiated.Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of King Funeral Home.
Mrs. George had spent most of her life in Crosbyton before moving to Wewoka three years ago.
The 59-year-old woman was claimed by death Monday, Dec. 2, at her residence.
She was born July 21, 1915, in Wewoka.
Jo George is survived by her son, Charles L. Knowles of Naples, Tex.; one brother, Charles Reno of Amarillo; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Edwards of Wewoka, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were: Otis Brown, L.D. Witt, James Leatherwood, Joe Hargrove, John Harvey and Woodrow Robertson.
