Mrs. Mack (Lizzie) Ellison, a well-known Crosbytonite who first came here in 1915 from Nebraska, succumbed at 2:10 a.m. Saturday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital at the age of 79. She resided at 536 South Ayrshire.
Mrs. Ellison underwent surgery September 24 and had been seriously ill since that time.
Memorial rites were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Three years after the former Lizzie Irwin and Mack Henry Ellison were married in 1912 in Mullen, Nebraska, they moved to Crosbyton. The family went to Dublin in 1934, and returned in 1958 to Crosbyton.
Mrs. Ellison was born June 17, 1895, in Maysville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 8, 1973.
The deceased was a member of Crosbyton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Frank Ellison of Crosbyton, Ed Ellison of Carlton, Henry I. Ellison and Donald H.Ellison, both of Lubbock; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Modie) Phillips of Lubbock; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
