They Killed The Fatted Calf
All the Children at Home Once More - Ten in Number and a Good Time for All.A. L. Ellison, one of Crosbyton's oldest and most substantial citizens, was a caller at the Review office last Saturday and tells us that they are having a regular family reunion over there this week. Mr. Ellison tells us that all his children with all their children are spending the week at his home and he has thrown open the barn full of fatted calves and pigs and tells them to eat, drink and be merry, as the "old man" is truly happy.
The following is a list of the married children who are at his home:
- Mrs. John Taylor and two children of Rockport, Texas
- Mrs. C. H. Taylor and three children of Rockport, Tex.
- John Ellison, wife and three children, City,
- W. H. Ellison, wife and five children, City.
- Mack Ellison and wife of Hecley, Nebraska.
- And the four younger children who are not married and are still living at home.
Mr. Ellison tells that he is giving each of his children a home in Crosbyton, or at least a fine building site in the A. L. Ellison Addition and the three of his sons are living thereon at this time. He says he will deed to each of his children two fine building lots and will fix it sothey will always have a home in Crosbyton, no matter where they go or what they do.
Truly Uncle Abe was a happy man when he was in the Review office telling of his children and his children's children, and he left with a smile, saying, "It's good to be together again."
