Longtime Crosby Resident Dies
Crosbyton (Special) Services are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church here for Mrs. Myrtle Allie Ellis, 76, who died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Hospital following a long illness.The Rev. Odis Testerman, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Thomas Compton of the Church of Christ. Eastern Star graveside services will be conducted in Crosbyton Cemetery with King Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. She had been a resident of Crosbyton 42 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dellie Stokes, Prairie Grove, Ark; Mrs. Ella Mae Steakley, San Angelo; and Mrs Mable Cude, Brady; two sons, Lonnie, Crosbyton and Robert, Dimmitt; a brother Clyde Reed, Florence; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Smith, R W Pyron, A E Holder, Joe Lowrie, Joe Wayne Grizzle and Tillman Reeves.
