U.S.Flag Rites Read Monday For Gene Ellis

Funeral rites for Gene Ellis, 32, were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church. Ellis, who was manager of the Inadale Co-op Gin, was killed Friday night in a one-car accident south of Snyder.

The Rev. Carl Grissom of Andrews officiated and the Rev. Ernest Stewart of Crosbyton assisted. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; two daughters, Janie and Jody; three sons, Gene, Jr., Wayne and Zane, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Ellis of Crosbyton; one sister, Mrs. Charles Green of Lubbock; two brothers, Roy Lee Ellis of Crosbyton and William Ellis of Denver, Colo.

Pallbearers were H.C. Hoover of Littlefield; Eddie Wallace, R.B. Wright and Bennie Claunch of Bula, Floyd McGinnes, Wayne Flemins, Ramon Johnston and Kenneth Havens of Crosbyton.
