Services for S.H. (Butch) Edwards, 76, of 3518 30th St. will be at 2 p.m. today in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dudley Strain, pastor emeritus of First Christian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Edwards died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday in Methodist Hospital.
He lived in Crosbyton from 1908 until moving to Lubbock in 1942. He operated a grocery store here until 1968, and was a member of the Southside Church of Christ and Mackenzie Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mae; a son, Cleddie of Lubbock; a brother, E.B. (Skinny) of Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. Roland Mize of Petersburg; and a grandson.

Mae Edwards of Lubbock, a former Crosbytonite, was buried Wednesday afternoon in Crosbyton Cemetery. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. that day in Sanders Memorial Chapel in Lubbock.Mrs. Edwards, 79, was claimed by death at 12:45 p.m. Monday at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Edwards, an employee in the registar´s office at Texas Tech University for several years, had resided in the Lubbock area for 41 years. Her husband, S.H. Edwards, died in 1979.
Survivors include one son, Cleddie Edwards of Lubbock, and one grandson.
