Funeral services for Cassie Estelle Edwards, 91, of Abilene, will be held in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Crosbyton at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 1991, with Elder George Johnson of the Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church officiating.Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
She died at 6:30 a.m., Jan. 1, 1991 in Abilene´s Humana Hospital.
Mrs. Edwards was born Mar. 11, 1899, in Louisiana, the daughter of James Harris McDonald and Paralee Smith McDonald.
She married Roscoe V. Edwards, who preceded her in death in 1941. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church.
She moved to Crosbyton in 1945, then to Lubbock, and on to Abilene in 1978.
A son, Carl E. Edwards, preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie Costin of Abilene; one sister, Lavert Robertson of Crosbyton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
