Services for Allean Edwards, 74, of Pearland, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1989, in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cliff Hargrove, pastor of Sudan´s First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 1989, in Houston´s Park Plaza Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Oklahoma City and moved form Lubbock to Houston in 1978. She married Hoyt Edwards on July 22, 1933, in Crosbyton. He died in 1980. She was a housewife.

Two sons, Dale and Gene Weldon, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Wayne of Amarillo; a daughter, Barbara Hargrove of Pearland; two brothers, Ed Cumings of Martinez, CA, and Damon Cumings of Fort Worth; two sisters, Opal Olson of Martinez and Irene Watkins of Midlothian; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Forrest Griffin, R.W. Griffin, Art Griffin, Marty Griffin, Les Hargrove and Joe Hargrove.
