Hazel M. Edler, a longtime Crosbyton area resident before moving to Lubbock about 10 years ago, was claimed by death at 6:45 a.m. Monday in Highland Hospital in Lubbock following a lengthy illness.Mrs. Edler was 92.
Funeral rites were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton. The Rev. Dave Treat, pastor, officiated.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Pallbearers were Mike Carpenter, Dale Edler, Tevis Walker, Kenneth Cawthorn, Kraig Gillimore and Leonard Parker.
The former Hazel Maye Sprout was born in Hughesville, Pa., in 1890. She and Forrest Edler were married Sept. 15, 1915, in Crosbyton by County Judge Pink Parrish.
The couple built their home on a farm (rest of obit not saved)
