Family Note: A little history on the Edlers, My dad who was Donald Larue Edler was adopted by Harvey Edler and my Great Grandmother. My dads mother was Alverta Edler who was a nurse up in Pennsylvania and became pregnant from a Doctor. Her parents Harvey & Grandmother [Emma] adopted the child and told no one. My dad told me in later years about the adoption because I was adopted from a young Chickasaw girl who became pregnant in high school at the age of fifteen.Just a little gossip that should have been told a long time ago when my dad left home at the age of fifteen to work on a ranch. He and some brothers got into a fight over them calling him some names. My real grandmother [Alverta] never got married and never recognized her SON or her GRANDSON. She went to the grave keeping this secret. I wish I had of known when she was alive as I would have hugged her a lot different!
