Services For J.D. Dobbs, 69, Held on Sunday

Funeral services for J.D. Dobbs, 69, a resident of Crosbyton for the past eight year, were held Sunday afternoon, Feb. 26, at 3:30 o'clock, at the Crosbyton Church of Christ. Leonard Dennis, minister, officiated, and burial was in Crosbyton cemetery with King Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Dobbs died at his home, Friday evening at 10:30 o'clock, following an illness of several months. He had been confined to his bed for the past two or three months. He was born in Alabama on July 15, 1880.

Survivors include the wife; four sons, H.G. Dobbs and Gene V. Dobbs, both of Wichita, Kansas; J.R. Dobbs and Holdman Dobbs, both of Lubbock; one daughter, Mrs. W.E. Weaks of Lubbock; eight brothers and two sisters, all of whom live in Alabama with the exception of Mr. R.A. Dobbs, a resident of Crosbyton; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Duward Ellison, Chas. B. Parker, L.D. Huckabay, Weldon Dendy, Joe Johnston and Don Moses.
