Monte Beckham, 55, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Crosbyton Cemetery with Bob Adams and Carl Spruell officiating. Arrangements are under care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the Hub of the Plains.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-7 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Monte was born on October 23, 1956, in Shamrock, Texas, to Bobby Charles and Maxine Jennings Beckham. He graduated from Crosbyton High School and started working in new home construction and ended his career as a home builder. On Dec. 10, 1999, he changed his life forever and became an active member in AA at the Hub of the Plains where the Elite meet. He was a very avid fisherman and was a member of Quad AAAA. He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast. On Nov. 6, 2011, he was baptized and became a member of 12th Street Church of Christ. Monte loved his children beyond measure and cherished his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Charles Beckham.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Beckham, his mother, Maxine Johnson & husband Murrel, his sons, Greg Edmondson, Ben Beckham & wife Brandi and Charlie Beckham & Elizabeth, his daughters, Tavia Beckham-Harris and Amanda Beckham, his brother, Randy Beckham & wife Sharon, his grandchildren, Tanya Elliott, Tynli Harris, Brenden Beckham, Bransen Beckham and two on the way including Boston Monte Beckham.
