Claude Edwin Ausmus of Fort Worth, who along with his brother Clyde were the first twins born in Crosby County, was buried in Crosbyton Cemetery following 2 p.m. Friday, memorial services in the Crosbyton Church of Christ. Loyd Hall, minister, officiated.

Arrangements were handled by Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Ausmus, 67, was claimed by death at 11:30 a.m. last Wednesday in a Fort Worth convalescent home. He had suffered a prolonged illness and had been a resident of the convalescent home approximately five months.

Claude and Clyde Ausmus were born Jan. 10, 1913 in Crosbyton to Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Ausmus. Claude was graduated from Crosbyton High School in 1933 and lived here until moving in 1939 to Lamesa. He went in 1941 to Fort Worth, which had since been his home. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by General Dynamics.

Survivors include two sons, Milton Ausmus and Cary Ken Ausmus, both of Fort Worth; a daughter, Pamela Crane of Fort Worth; a brother, Clyde Ausmus of Crosbyton; a sister, Cassie Crump of Lubbock; and five grandchildren.
