Final rites to the memory of Alonzo Clarence Atchison were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Crosbyton Church of Christ by Roger Turner, minister, and Bill Bryant, minister of the Parkway Church of Christ in Lubbock.Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home directed arrangements.
Mr. Atchison, 63, succumbed about 9 a.m. last Wednesday in Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
The deceased operated A.C. Atchison Oil Co. here for over 20 years. He came to this community in 1918 at the age of eight.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Mrs. Betty McClintock of Crosbyton; three sisters, Mrs. Lorn Gowens of Crosbyton, Mrs. Dorothy Justus of Amarillo, and Mrs. Odessa Sonders of Fort Worth; and two granddaughters.

CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Dorothy Atchison, 67, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crosbyton Church of Christ with Glen Gray, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home here.
She died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.
A native of Hood County, she was a live-in nurse and married Alonzo C. Atchison Nov. 22, 1941, in Ralls. He died April 4, 1973. She was a member of the Crosbyton Planning and Zoning Board and the Garden Club. She helped organize the Girl Scouts here.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. She moved to Crosbyton in 1918 from Hood County.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty McClintock of Crosbyton; three brothers, John Lennard Hazelwood of Fort Stockton, Calif., and Gene Doyle Hazelwood and Harvey Lloyd Hazelwood, both of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
