U.S.Flag   Funeral services for Robert Sawyer, 62, of Ralls were held at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church at Ralls with the Rev. Howard Marcom, pastor, and the Rev. Vernon O´Kelly officiating.

Burial was at the Cone Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 6 p.m. Thursday at Ralls Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Ralls and has lived in the area all his life. He was a World War II Veteran and a retired farmer. He married Frances Meeks March 20, 1940 in Idalou.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bobby of Odessa, Jerry of Grantsboro, NC, and Gary of Houston; two daughters, Annette Westbury of Ralls and Mrs. Vicky Brown of Idalou; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Sawyer of Floydada; a brother, Marlin of Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. Grace Ashley of Cone; and 11 grandchildren.

RALLS (Special) — Services for Frances Sawyer, 76, of Ralls will be at 1 p.m. today at Ralls First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ned Hicks of Spur officiating.

Burial will be in Cone Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

She was born Jan. 30, 1920, in Hillsboro. She moved to Ralls in 1937. She married Robert Sawyer on March 20, 1940, in Idalou. He died April 21, 1983. A son, Bobby, died March 6, 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry of Grantsboro, NC, and Gary Lynn of Ralls; two daughters, Annette Westbury of Ralls and Vicky Brown of Idalou; three brothers, Edward Meeks and Elvin Meeks, both of Hillsboro, and Monroe Meeks of Whitney; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
