U.S.Flag   Services for Norvel N. Young, 76, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Progressive Baptist Church with the Rev. Homer L. Avery Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Westside Cemetery in Lorenzo under the direction of Brocks South Plains Funeral Directors.

He died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at University Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Lorenzo.

He was a World War II veteran and a farm laborer in the Lorenzo area.

Survivors include four sons, Ronald, Stanley, Anthony and Robert, all of Lubbock; four daughters, Joycetta Young of St. Louis, Mo., Asonya Baker of Dallas and Rochaka Douglas and Sparkie Douglas, both of Anton; two sisters, Mable Young and Opal Thomas, both of Lubbock; and a brother, Birtis Young of Lovington, N.M.
