LORENZO (Special) — Services for Rainey "Bo Pete" Morris Watson, 52, of Levelland will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Hankston, pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of South Plains Funeral Home of Lubbock.
He died Wednesday in Cook Memorial Hospital in Levelland after a brief illness.
He was born in Trinidad and had lived in Lorenzo for 46 years. He had lived in Levelland for one year. He was a retired assistant manager at Redi Fuel Company. He was a sexton of the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Lorenzo. He was vice president of the Brotherhood of Caprock Baptist District Association of West Texas Headstarts Friends Association and Texas Open Heart Club. He was chairman of the trustee board at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nelle; his mother, Ruby Lee Baker of Lorenzo; two sons, Randy of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Russell of Levelland; two daughters, Cynthia Watson of Lorenzo and Sharon Sterns of Dallas; three brothers, Monroe of Lorenzo, Robert of Amarillo and Charlie Baker Jr., of Arlington; three sisters, Rosie Lee Walls of Amarillo, Anna Marie Baker of Lubbock and Barbara Baker of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren.

Services for Nelle Watson, 64, of DeSoto, formerly of Lorenzo were at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at Full Armor Ministries, in Lubbock with Rev. Charles Hankson officiating and Rev. Leonard Chatham assisting.
Burial was in West Side Cemetery in Lorenzo under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
She died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at her home in DeSoto.
She married Rainey Watson on Jan. 17, 1957, in Lubbock. He died June 3, 1987.
She was a 1955 graduate of Sook High School in Clay, TX. She received her bachelor of science degree from Texas Tech University in 1978 in Child Development and was 12 hours away from her master´s degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a Head Start Director for SHAPES Head Start for 15 years, and she had been an educator for 37 years. She was a member of NAEYC, Texas Head Start Association, Booker T. Washington Ex´s of Texas City, and President of the Women´s Auxiliary of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church. She was Youth Director for 22 years at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a very strong Christian and very active in various ministries. She lived in Lorenzo for many years, lived in Levelland for 15 years, then moved to DeSoto in 1996. She is a former resident of Texas City. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie J. Scott and Rosie Scott Battles.
Survivors include her stepfather, Charles Battles of Lorenzo; two sons, Randy Watson and Russell Watson both of Glen Heights, TX; two daughters, Sharon Sterns of DeSoto and her husband, Kenneth, Cynthia Banks of Glen Heights and her husband, Gregory; one sister, Lenora Long of Houston; two sisters-in-law, Anna M. Baker of Lubbock and Rosie L. Wall of Lorenzo; two brothers-in-law, Charlie Baker of Arlington, and Robert Watson of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
