Obituary

Services for Robert Lee Wall, 62, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 1993, in First Baptist Church with Bishop Horace Stacy officiating. Bishop Alex Wall assisted.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Curry Funeral Home.

Wall died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1993, at South Park Hospital after an illness.

He was born in Fredrick, OK, and lived in Lubbock since 1950. He married Rosie Lee Watson May 26, 1952.

Survivors include four sons, Charley of Floydada, Robert Jr. and Tyrone, of Lorenzo, and Jimmy of Amarillo; five daughters, Judy Bonam, Gloria Wall and Martha McQueen, all of Dallas, and Patricia Wall and Jackie Prinzlas, of Lorenzo; three sisters, JoAnn Durham and Lu Ann Dunbar, of Phoenix, AZ., and Clarice Davis of Shreveport, LA; and 29 grandchildren.

Rosie Lee WallLUBBOCK — Rosie Lee Watson Wall, 80, of Lorenzo, passed away on Aug. 25, 2014.

Rosie was born on March 8, 1934, in Corsicana, Texas, to the parentage of Charlie Baker and Ruby Lawson. Rosie married Robert Wall Sr. in 1952 and resided in Lorenzo, Texas; to this union, five girls and four boys were born. Rosie was a beloved member of the Pentecostal Christian Center in Floydada, Texas. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age, and remained in faithful servant hood until her passing. Rosie enjoyed cooking, fishing, and junking as well as caring for anyone in need. She was a prayer warrior and loved to express encouraging words to lift spirits and make people laugh. All those who had the opportunity to meet and know her will truly miss her.

Rosie was preceded in death by: her parents, Charlie Baker and Ruby Lawson; husband, Robert Hall Sr.; one brother; two sisters; one granddaughter; a son-in-law, Saul Daniels; one great-granddaughter; and her best friend, Erma Briscoe.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Judy Wall, Gloria Wall, Jackie Wall, Martha Wall, Asonya Davis, Felisha Wall, Maranda Wall; her sons, Charles Wall, Robert Wall Jr., Tyrone Wall, Mickey Wall, and Jimmy Wall; brother, Charlie Baker (Mary); 35 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Lorenzo, Texas. Interment will follow in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
